Sharing a photo? Choose JPG for broad compatibility. Transparent areas become white, and re-encoding can change image quality.
Keeping a transparent logo? Choose PNG. It preserves transparency but can be larger than JPG or WebP.
WebP supports transparency and adjustable quality. Check that the app receiving your image accepts it.
Dimensions stay the same. HEIC support varies by file; AVIF needs a compatible browser. GIF tools save the first frame only. Use the GIF converters for still snapshots of animated images.
