Split PDF: help & limits
How to use
- Choose a simple PDF.
- Enter pages such as 1–3, 5. Choose one PDF or separate pages.
- Split, review the result and download.
Examples
- Save pages 2–4 of a ten-page report as one PDF.
- Save pages 1, 3, 5 as individual PDFs in one ZIP.
Formats and limitations
Ranges use one-based page numbers. Ranges must ascend; repeated and overlapping pages are rejected. Separate pages create one PDF per page. This is not redaction: private information inside selected page content may remain.
PDF input and output only. Up to 500 pages total; two-minute processing limit; 100 MiB output limit. Complex documents may fail even within these limits. Review the result before sharing.
Privacy and troubleshooting
Files and outputs stay in browser memory. Processing libraries and fonts load from Reqly; documents are not uploaded. Reset releases file references and cancels work. Downloads remain on your device.
If processing fails, try fewer files or a smaller, unencrypted PDF. The original is unchanged. No server fallback is used.
How local processing worksCan I download all separate pages together?
Yes. A ZIP is made locally when Separate pages is selected. Individual PDFs are also available.
Does splitting remove private information?
No. Only unselected pages are excluded. Text, embedded images and other content on retained pages remain.
